Meet Our Staff
Ria Ricks, Office Coordinator
Ria Ricks is responsible for the oversight and administration of Meridian’s four offices throughout Florida. From our Tallahassee headquarters, Ria coordinates all activities in our Gainesville, St. Petersburg, and Key West offices. Ria provides assistance to the accounting department, Human Resources and administrative functions and serves as a liaison to clients, vendors, suppliers and service providers. Ria is also instrumental in the development and preparation of all proposal documents and presentations. Ria also acts as the direct assistant to the President/CEO, Lisa Blair. For the convenience of our clients, Ria is also a Florida Notary Public.
Ms. Ricks also serves as the Intake Specialist for the Housing Choice Voucher Program (formerly Section 8). She assists the Housing Coordinator in recertifications, data entry, voucher issuance, housing subsidy calculation, and fraud prevention. In addition, she serves as a checks and balances to the Housing Coordinator in the interpretation and implementation of HUD guidelines to ensure the program is in compliance with all federal and local regulations.
Experience: Ms. Ricks has extensive customer service and personnel experience. With over six years in providing administrative and clerical assistance, Ria has excellent communication and organizational experience.
Qualifications: Ms. Ricks holds Bachelors of Science in Social Sciences and a minor in Sociology from Florida State University. She is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Public Administration from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.
